Namaste,
I will be posting Ma Jaya's podcasts here -- brief live recordings drawn from her Darshans.   Ma's voice is unique, and leads some people right into meditation.

In this podcast, Ma Jaya speaks of awareness and tantra. (4 minutes)

Either click this link, or copy/paste to your bowser. Either way, you'll get to a podcast page; click on a little thingy that says "pod."

Ma Jaya's Art - The Goddess #1

Posted on Jan 10th, 2009 by matagiri : Chela matagiri
Namaste,
Besides being a spiritual teacher, Ma Jaya is a self taught artist who has been painting since about 1980.  At first the art was just an expression of her own personal devotion, but later she had several one woman and group shows in some pretty significant galleries.
Her student Uma put some of Ma's many paintings of the goddess together into a short video. This is just the first of four.

If you had to pick another religion to practice, what would it be

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 12, 2009:

Sometimes it picks you, although I'd rather we said "spiritual path" rather than relgion.
By the time I had grown up with my mother for about seven years, her mix of Unitarianism, Quakerism, and atheism had sunk in.  So when I thought about joining the Brownie scouts, I was shocked to discover they met in the church basement., which I knew to be a door to depravity. (I didn't join.)
Many years later, somewhat against my will, I met my guru, and  I've been with her ever since. . When love calls, you follow.
